Prep4Finals v2.5 Out!
v2.5 out Prep4Finals is out.
Its almost worth a v3. monicker.
We have 2 new authors – adding 30 new questions.
I have added a little colour, added pictures! fixed a little bug and changed the code slightly so it runs faster!
I’ve added a top level score and added on screen author acknowledgement.
Comments welcome, feature requests welcome – I don’t promise to do them but I’m keen to hear if any features are wanted.

Xrays4Medics 2.1.1 almost out and Prep4Finals 2.2 out!
OK P4F 2.2 is out – with all the known bugs fixed and 10 new Paediatrics Questions from a new author – Keiran Sweeney
Xrays4Medics 2.1 is out which fixes the crash on iPad issue but it has a screen size bug on the iPad which 2.1.1 fixes. Its amazing you would think ticking the auto layout button would sort problems – not create them!
Anyway I’m working on A2Z of Dermatology now and hope to get that updated soon – hopefully without these little bigs!
Prep4Finals v2.0 Out!
Pleased to say the iOS7 Version of Prep4Finals is out!
It was approved by Apple which is great.
The opening screen on the iPad is a bit boring – I couldn’t decide what to put – so i left it blank with just the Menu button showing – might come up with some text or a picture.
I am slowly working on updating the other apps. Just no time at moment… Ive also been sent some new questions for the app which ill update soon.
Prep4Finals iOS7 version uploaded
Ive just uploaded the iOS7 version of Prep4Finals. Its iOS7 only – you can download previous versions now for machines you havent updated.
For the Geeky – it now uses UISplitView and Storyboarding as well as ARC.
As usual Apple have changed quite a bit – some for the better…..
As well as updating the OS – Ive taken the opportunity to update the database with an update that corrects some spellings.
V2.1 should be ready to submit in a week or so – it has new questions! YEAH!
Prep4Finals on hot list!
Just noticed that Prep4Finals is on the hot list having had >1700 downloads so far!
hope to have an update out for Xmas!
Over 500 downloads so far and more bugs fixed….
Thanks to Australian Doctor M.C. Schieb, FRACP, Sydney, Australia, who posted detailed notes on minor bugs/typos on our existing questions – I pulled the upload that was waiting for review – and have uploaded a new version thought still called v1.1 with all his spotted bugs removed. Largely my fault – in that some of the copying and pasting of questions and answers into the database went wrong in places and after a while you get word blind to errors and need a third party to review them.
229 downloads day 1 & bugs found and fixed!
The good news is Prep4Finals had 229 downloads on day 1!
The even better news is ive found and fixed the menu bug but Doh! it was a stupid mistake.
Because i added the code that showed how many questions you had got right and had answered at the last minute – i forgot that on the menu items that dont have it – you cant just say nothing – you have to clear it.
so my fixed code becomes:

I plan to upload before the weekend the new version to Apple – however i will see if I can get some extra questions added first. If not then I’ll do those next week.
Prep4Finals approved by Apple!
After 10 days in a queue Prep4Finals has been approved by Apple.
I’ve set launch date to be tomorrow Friday 19th hopefully to catch people for the weekend.
The guys have set up a Facebook page and a twitter feed both under the name prep4finals
Hopefully it gets a load of downloads
Prep4Finals Uploaded to Apple
Ye s finally – v1.0 of Prep4Finals – a free single best answer MCQ app using the UITableView Style has been uploaded to Apple for review. Its a universal app that works on the iPhone and iPad.
It has >130 questions in it written by current medical students and some recently qualified doctors. See below!
We already have more questions written for an update – but we wanted to launch the app so I put a hold on adding them and got v1.0 built. However v1.1 will follow shortly. We also have a roadmap for new features and enhancements should the app prove popular!
